How do I run a memory test for my web browsers?

I've been using Internet Explorer, Opera and FireFox. So people believe FireFox 3 uses the least memory out of these web browsers. So how can I test it if it is true? Also how do I check the speed?

  1. I'm afraid there seems to be some confusion here. The Memory Test relate to the RAM and the Web Browsers don't have any RAM. I think that there's a disconnect somewhere. Peace. ST
  2. Firefox 3 does good at the Tabs thing. For me Firefox 3 is the fastest but it uses more ram. But Internet Explorer crashes a lot for me. So if you like the web browser you are using now you don't have to switch it. Hit Alt, Ctrl, Delete, at the same time and you will see the Task Manager and click on Processes and look at the Mem Usage.
  3. Every test comparison I have seen really does show that FF3 uses less memory. Ending private set in MB Safari 636.9 Firefox 3 111.8 Flock (Firefox 2) 191.9 Opera 9.5 190.6 Internet Explorer 8 194.4
