What are these other web browsers ive heard of?

Well the only web browser ive even known adn used is internet explorer. Now i hear of firefox and some others. I know about safari ever since my lil brother got his itouch and also How did safari become my main web browser? I still use IE but whenever i click a link or something it uses safari? How do i change it bac?!?!

1. Each browser has its own way to set it as your own. I would suggest going to options or settings and have it set it as your main browser. As for browsers, there are way more than IE like Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Opera, and loads more.
2. Open up IE and go to Tools, Internet Options, Programs. There is an option to check and make sure IE is the default browser. Check this and restart IE. Once it opens it will ask you if you want to use IE as your default browser. Click YES.
3. You can do it in two ways. 1:- Just uninstall safari from 'Control panel' ==> 'Add or remove programs'. 2:- I suppose you are using internet explorer version 7. Click on tools and then 'internet options'. In the new window select 'Programs' tab and under 'Default web browser' click on 'Make Default.
4. The default browser was changed. This commonly happens when installing a new browser: somewhere along the way it asked "Would you like to make [me] the default browser?". Since it's one in a series of questions which the answer is "yes", it's compelling to answer yes to this question too. Or your brother agrees with most web developers that IE should never be used as a browser. IE has unique interpretations ("bugs") of html standards.
